Current FL2 trade in values

After my son has just got himself a nice 2010 Audi A5 convertible, ive had a browse round at used values for my 2010 FL2.

And im shocked Shocked

We buy any car is booking at a top of £9500
Parkers is booking at top of £9400
and CAP is booking at £8500
Dealer has offered me £10,000

I only bought the car in December for £14k screen price, which was about the same as every other similar spec in the country at the time so I don't feel I was ripped off. But those trade in prices are truly shocking !!!

Is it down to falling car prices in general, falling prices of the FL2 now the DS is taking off, or what... ??

wondering what peoples thoughts are on current FL2 prices for trade in ?

Maybe change in autumn / winter when a 4x4 comes into it's own?

Buying privately I'd wonder why you're getting rid so soon. 2009 FL2

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

The nearest FL2 to my current MY13 on Landrover Used would be 3 Grand more than "We Rip Off Your Car" would give me today (just checked for info). Dealer will give you a good warranty I assume but come back for a top up with HP and Servicing.

"We Rip Off Your Car" would try and knock me down if I was to take it to them no doubt and take no consideration of things like it having a LR tow bar with dual electrics.

Its summer and no one will be buying 4x4s until the first talk of snow so not the best time be looking to sell into the Trade.

No doubt in a weeks time "We Rip Off Your Car" will up the offer by £500 ! Whistle

Go and find a site called Car Wow and see fire sales on some New Cars like Mercs, they must know something most punters are ignoring. Banging Head FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Just did it with mine

Lookers £18500
Hunters 17000
WBAC 17500

Keeping it 12 more months then its goodnight FL2

i also looked at a settlement figure out of interest, standard amortisation tables have it around £20k on its finance figures, LR finance quoted £23,500, thieving gits.

Never sell a LR in the summer months or it WBAC rip off merchants.

I'm in a good position at the moment with my Disco, my salesman wants it badly but I don't need to sell. I've put my cards on the table and told him if he wants it he'll have to stump up good cash, just not sure I want a D5 and the Landmarks are selling fast, not overly keen on the graphite model. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Replacement?
Hmm, not sure yet, will look at prices nearer the time and decide what is best, tax implications etc.
F pace is on the radar, maybe a Discosport Dynamic, who knows, if business carries on like it is then maybe blow it on an RRS Laughing

Just forget trade in value, and forget the sticker price on the car. No one pays the sticker price, it us there to give them haggle room or offer you more PartEx than your vehicle is worth.

The only thing that matters is the price to change. For new vehicles get the best quote for a new vehicle from internet car brokers and use that as the target price

I think The other thing to note on the car broker sites is that the lowest on the road price is often one which is only achievable if you take the manufacturers PCP plan. At least one car broker, BroadSpeed , will tell you how to achieve this price as a cash buyer by signing up for PCP and exercising your right to cancel. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Every manufacturer has beat Land Rover and I didn't knock Dacia I was referring to price.

I just wouldn't buy one that's been built in Renaults Indian factory not unless you like a rusty new car, the later ones from the European factory are better. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Totally agree with this I've been perusing the ads for a F2 and the good ones are not staying on the forecourt for long, and in high summer!

You have to regard WBAC as the lowest offer you can get anywhere.
WBAC offered me £8900 for my 7 year old BMW 3 series. I sold it on Gumtree in less than 24 hrs for £10300 - with no fees to pay. Jules
