I use torque, seems to work well enough. Only ever plugged it into the FL2 to be nosey, but actually managed to clear faults with it on my Skoda. |

Agreed, Torque Pro is the best of the low-priced ones.

for sure torque is really neat, extra set of gauges (like boost pressure) reads stored fault codes and will clear them too |

Another for Torque Pro. Have used it on several VAG cars and BMW to diagnose faults - my old BMW 3 series had no temp gauge but Torque Pro showed that the thermostat was stuck open. Jules |

Slightly off topic but I have just purchased a cheap fault code reader to try and trace a problem but it found no codes when connected. To check whether it was working I unplugged the maf and it found and cleared the code for it, so I think the reader works ok.

I currently use the Torque Pro android app/OBDII with my 2008 LR2 i6 auto and wondered if anyone has been successful with getting the transmission temp to communicate? Is there a custom PID for this? |

Thanks Grue, I will see if I missed the correct setting for the transmission temp gauge, I have the gauge as an option but it actually mirrors the coolant temp for my so my setup may have been fubar. I will give the setup a whirl again. |

I recently changed the ATF on my SD4. I measured the level when Torque pro hit 60c but the ATF coming out, when I checked the level, felt less than 60c. I'm not sure exactly what Torque Pro is reading for Transmission Temp especially as it seems to follow the coolant temp to the degree - just lagging behind by a few seconds. Jules |

OK, so I tried this tonight b4 my drive home......the stock PID labeled Transmission temp is actually reading the coolant temp........tested and verified by me 100%....so as I thought in my post above yours, the two different stock PIDS with different labels are actually reading the coolant temp.........@jules also commented on this above. |

That's disappointing! Thought they were awfully close to each other, but sometimes being a degree apart was enough for me not to question it |

Yeah, I used the digital numbers only gauges and my results mirror the coolant temp number instantly. Not sure why you have a lag but my output is exactly the same at the same time using method 1 trans temp gauge. Method 2 gets me nothing..... |
