My one wasn't that great in the UK. I certainly wouldn't rely on it in Europe. If you want reliability, accuracy, points of interest, lane guidance and speed cameras, go and buy a TomTom with lifetime European maps for about £70 in Halfords!

It does annoy me that a genuine update disk for the LR Unit is £170 yet my Garmin Nuvi I bought two years ago for less than £100 comes with lifetime map updates.... |

In olden days before sat navs we used to buy map books which in my case I only updated it when it was falling to bits. There's no way I'm paying £170 just for the odd new road. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Thanks. I have a snooper anyway, I just thought I could leave it in the caravan if we go any were. Beats lugging it round or leaving in the car |

2014 I was travelling in Italy & Germany mostly for 4 months (not the first time either). Bought 2 paper maps, the rest we got from tourist information, but the 2 main ones were really enough. No GPS, no mobile, no computer. I love the technology of a paper maps and a pencil (or pen).

I used to drive all over for a living. I then used my TomTom daily which I kept up to date. Had full Western Europe maps too.
