The "underboost" error and black smoke suggest to me a split or dislodged intercooler hose. |

If it is one of the hoses it's not a hugely difficult job, no special tools needed, mainly just a 7mm socket driver or screwdriver for the hose clips. The hardest bit is getting access to them, some are difficult to reach, plus of course identifying the culprit in the first place. As to cost, personally I've no idea, I generally take care of most jobs like that myself so I have no reference for the cost. |
