Turbo hoses?

Hi I had a turbo fitted about 20k miles ago (160,000 miles) and it has started to make more noise than usual. Wastegate type wooshes, and I can hear it spooling up and down more.

It also overboosted and went into limp mode.

The consensus on here seems to be split or leaking hoses.

Which ones do I need to replace, can you let me have part numbers and pricing?

Is silicone better than genuine LR?

Many thanks

Ben

Ben, think it might be worthwhile looking at the hoses first hand and see which ones you require exactly...

i'venever sold silicone hoses for the FL2 so can;t comment, if they even do them that is?

if you were to place both intercooler hoses you'd be looking in the region for £240.00ish so worth checking them Sophie Alltoft

It will most likely be the O/S Intercooler to manifold hose, theres a small rubber section on it but its not available seperately...

thats where i'd start Thumbs Up Sophie Alltoft

Scotland

Been told upon last yeas service that my intercooler hose was starting to 'mist'.
Now due it's service this year and was going to get them replaced .... but £240 for 2 hoses Shocked

Anyone any idea which hose would be misting?
And why does this need a new hose to rectify? FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Hi, before buying hoses check that the rubber gaiter around the bottom of the steering column is in place.

I was convinced I had a split hose or faulty turbo. Read a post on here and sure enough it was not fitted correctly.

This was just after I had the clutch replaced and it must have been dislodged during this.

Maybe also dislodged after you had turbo replaced. Turbo is very close to where the column goes through the bulkhead.
