Our local cinema has started a classic movie club, first showing was on Saturday, JAWS in 4k digital surround sound, was well worth a fiver, looking forward to the next one in a few weeks, Alien.

Local Hero - it takes some beating and the BBC film critic chappy said it was his favorite film a couple of years back. Not often I agree with that lot South of ............. Shocked FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Local Hero, how did I forget that one. A real feel good film. I've even got the soundtrack on a CD!

If you liked Local Hero, then you must try 'What we did on our Holiday' with David Tennant and Billy Connolly. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

I lost a lot of respect for Connolly after his Ken Bigley comment but must admit he is very good in WWDOOH and so is Tennant.

Bored. So just put on.

Local Hero Thumbs Up primarily because I live on the West Coast and know all the places filmed bar the East Coast locations.

Oh yes and dont forget
Dark Star
I loved the tomato alien, the bomb that became self aware and the crew member that surfed the planet's atmosphere on wreckage before he burnt up. Jules

Yes I liked Local Hero very much but I tend to watch a lot French or Scandinavian films now. They are much more complex and thought provoking (and often with a twist at the end) than the mainly US pulp that we get served up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
