Throttle body noise

Hi all,
I have a 63 plate sd4 , sometimes when I switch it off the high pitch tone, which I think is the throttle body ressetting goes on for ages , other times it's off in about 20secs ,
How long should this go on for? Car runs fine , but it seems wrong to me that I can come home have a cup of tea then have a shower and it's still doing it, start the car for a minute then turn it off and it seems to stop it.
Car is in dealers next weekend for rear brake light leak fix so I want to be forearmed before I talk to them about it
Thanks
Andy

It shouldn't do it for longer than 30 seconds or so or it would suggest that it is not able to agree on its reset position.

Certainly if it is going for many many minutes, i would suggest something is wrong somewhere in the system. Could be the TPS or an obstruction in the throttle body (very unlikely). FL2 HSE Lux 2011 SD4 Gallway Green.

Been into dealers today, replaced rear brakelight as i expected , checked the throttle body and it needs a new module so will have to go back again , also getting the trims around the wheel arches replace under warranty.
