Shouldn't really be a problem if the tyres are specced correctly for the wheels, IE bigger wheel, smaller wall height = same rolling radius as the standard 17's. |

That is correct, 235/60/18 on your 18's, 235/55/19 on 19's. Up the pressures to 35 instead of 32. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I don't know what the prescribed pressure is for 17s or 18s but my 19s require 35psi according to the handbook. |

Don't forget to tell your insurance - I think 17" are the standard size. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Flashier wheels are OK if thats your bag but does it add anything to the idea of a car that can drag you along and get you out of the crap in really bad weather ? I am sticking to my 17 inch wheels come what may. Bring it on. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I wanted 17" but unfortunately the car came with 18". Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Had the same issue with my wifes car. A car better suited to a less bling wheel size so why fit them from the factory ? Went for a set of 17 inch winter rims and tyres and rides much better when they are on. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |
