HSE vs HSE Lux vs Metropolis

I think I know the difference between the HSE and the HSE Lux but what about the Metropolis

Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Metropolis has a Metropolis badge on the boot and thicker more premium carpeting "allegedly"

HSE LUX was basically badged as a Metropolis in the UK when the run out model range was condensed. Only 3 models were made for MY15 SE,SE Tech & Metropolis MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Yes.

Nice car. Terrible name!

I know that LR have used "Metropolis" before, but it still sounds like a Austin Metro special edition

Buy car. Remove badge! Thumbs Up

Interesting question.

Perhaps a name not so directly connected to a sprawling city, especially with the potentially negative connections, such as with "Chelsea Tractors" Rolling Eyes

There was nothing wrong with Graphite or Landmark for the run out Disco 4's, so how about re-using "County", or something new like maybe "Platinum" or something appropriate for the Marque, like "Anglesey", or "Red Wharf" (I can see a problem with that last one!). I'm going to think on this one....

I think Metropolis comes with tinted rear windows only, HSE Lux had them as an option so if you hate rear tints (as I do) then its the HSE Lux (if you can find one) or HSE if your not bothered about rear camera, and one or two other nice to haves. Thumbs Up FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone.

The Metropolis freelander did not come with privacy glass as standard. The D2 metropolis however did along with the D3 but that's Off Topic Ner Ner MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

IIRC the D2 Metropolis only came in black and had a roof mounted sat nav above the rear view mirror, with the controls where the coin tray used to be. The nav system was basically taken straight from the P38 Range Rover and put into a new roof moulding in the D2. The rest was just standard ES Premium, which was just an ES with wood trim

The D3 Metropolis was just black...................... with a badge Laughing (could be wrong on this but Ive never looked into it fully)
