Yes. But also some things will run on dry and will get damaged, because the rotational motion will still be there... |

That much from dry.... Or when you take the Haldex out and fully drain and clean it.

After reading on here about the Haldex units I decided to have my filter and oils changed and there was some of the gunk inside so I think it was money well spent.When the guy rang Landrover for the parts they asked why as they had never done one.Next on the list will be the AT fluid and waxoil or dinatrol under neath. |

As Alex indicated above, its a failure of the 'double edged' pinion shaft seal that separates the Haldex oil from the diff oil.
