DPF rear differential pressure sensor has failed. Regenerating DPF will provide a temporary fix but the sensor will need to be replaced for a permanent fix. Had it happen to me and it took 3 attempts to resolve the problem properly which included at least one forced regeneration. |

I had this once on my MY11 and LR replaced one of the two exhaust sensors. The car was 50 000 km.

My FL2 recently went into the limp home mode - a quick read of the fault codes advised that the DPF sensor had failed so given my lack of trust with my local LP dealer I took it to a company called Concorde (who advertise themselves on the web as Land Rover Experts). They read the fault codes and advised me that LR had advised them that the DPF and the sensor should be changed at a cost of £2883. I enquired as to the cost of just changing the sensor and was advised that this would be £440 but it was not advised.

Interesting about your part number issue. When I had mine changed under warranty (Yeovil LR) the dealer called me and said that there would be a delay since when they opened the box, the sensor inside had a different part no to the label on the box. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Sorry I never got back with an update on this. When the local mechanic delved into this he found out that a bloody mouse had been nibbling he fixed it quite easily and the vehicle hasn't missed a beat since. Teresa's husband our MD who was dead set against a Freelander has now changed his mind about it, as its quite nippy not quite as fast or as powerful as his V8 full fat but not bad at all.
