Cambelt kit rep?

I know that officially it should be replaced at 10 years or 150k, good to also replace water pump at the same time.
My FL 2, 2.2td4s is coming up to 8 years old soon with currently 94k on the clock. Still original belt. Was thinking about changing it next year.
Anyone else changed there's earlier than the recommended time?
Cheers. Landy has now gone.

Last car I had before Freelanders I halved the recommended cam belt run time.

So will be doing mine I guess at 75K in 3 years time unless He/She has gone elsewhere. Mind you it could be me going elsewhere first. Rolling Eyes FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

For what it's worth I recently did cambelt on wife's Peugeot 207 1.4 petrol. 56 reg so 9.5 years old but only 43k miles. Changed water pump and idlers etc as well. Belt looked in perfect condition and no sign of wear in any of the other parts but I changed them anyway. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

I changed at around 96k, belt and pulleys looked ok but pump was showing signs of wear.
Many posts on forum if your are going to DIY it. Thumbs Up

Joe,
Thanks for info.
No won't be a diy job, will take it to a trusted Indy diesel specialist. Where I had the clutch kit & dmf changed recently. Landy has now gone.

I'll be doing my belt in the next month or so. Got all the parts acquired already, inc water pump and aux belt.

133k and 7 years old. That's long enough for me! Laughing
