England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Back in the 1970s my then very unpopular boss bought a Saab which was fashionable with the snobby set. He had the basic model and the only external difference between that and the better model was the word "Turbo" following the model name so he asked our graphics team to produce the "Turbo" logos and stick them on the car - so we did. As I said he was very unpopular, in fact he was a right bar******, so what a shame that we made a spelling mistake and produced the stickers "Turdo". It took him several months to notice the "mistake". He never asked us again - can't think why!

Doing the opposite!!!
Many years ago our local council had ------County Council lettered on both front doors of all council vehicles.
One inspector always used T-Cut (possibly Brasso in these days) to REMOVE this from his car.
It was dutifully replaced every time car came in to workshop. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

Back in 90's there was a nice lightweight in desert colours running around the Plymouth area, that was nicely badged Gulf GTi on the back.

From someone who face lifted a Freelander to make it look like something it wasn't is a tad hypocritical?

I seem to recall that sticking badges etc on your car can make it more attractive to thieves - and when the loss adjuster sees it on the back of your crumpled heap - you could be looking at a rather large adjustment in your loss!

I'm not sure if it works the other way but that's my excuse for never cleaning it.

Not at all, as it was and always will be a Freelander HSE. So no, it wasn't hypocritical. 😉 Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
