In the mean time wear some http://www.bollesafety.com.au/ or similar eye protection. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

"Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 54,350 vehicles as part of the expanded Takata passenger-side airbag recalls. This recall affects the 2007–2011 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2009–2011 Jaguar XF. None of these vehicles had previously been included in these recalls."

DVLA in UK know of problem cars and are not being proactive in getting it sorted, so one assumes they are hiding behind Crown Immunity if it kills your nearest and dearest. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

DVLA only intervene if the car manufacturer is not making adequate measures to fix. They will of course provide details of registered keepers. https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-recalls-and-fau...ccessories

Mercedes allowed my wife's car to be delivered with a known fault and only 9 months later when car was in for a warranty item did they admit the car was potentially able to kill the passenger if the air bag went off. All this time the DVLA had our car on a recall list. Fact. No attempt was made to contact us and hundreds of other Mercs not being called in. Fact. My money is on the Crown denying responsibility if anyone is/was killed. Bet there are still cars not sorted. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
