Seems maps are in level 3 head unit as they are labelled 'Nav'. Surprised no 'Radio Wire Feed' harness available for FL2 as per Evoque. Might have to try modifying an Evoque one. Had a look on Russian microcat but seems to stop at MY12. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Hi I've just installed all the speakers got a DD Amp and had the car in autologic for the ccf edit but the radio won't turn back on, any ideas. Plug in the old amp and that still works

Maybe they did not choose the correct settings in the CCF?

Maybe the amplifier is faulty? 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

We tried the premium setting with 6 disc cd, it was already set to midline which I have already, there was no other setting for premium.

I have a feeling the amp maybe knackered but I need to find another one to check and see.

If you've installed DD amp and get no sound then I would think that CCF change has not been done. Field should read something along lines of "ACM Audio System->Radio amp and speaker set to Premium 12 speakers". 6CD is a totally different setting. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

If you want to be more than rigorous, you should modify the CCF in 3 places:
- Speaker quantities
- Radio amp and speaker system
- Center speaker
But I believe that only the second option is a must.

I think we went into audio system> edit audio > and changed the premium setting, I can't recall any other way of altering other settings, I have added all the speakers needed for the upgrade so I would rule that out,

Triple check all connections. Maybe it is simple as a bit of tiny clear plastic bag remains just covering a pin. Happened to me recently installing a compressor. Couldn't see it for ages, it was only after I checked everything with a multimeter I found the problem. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Bit of advice please....I'm ready to upgrade from the mid-line to premium sound system having got all the necessary speakers/ amp required. The question is can I get the CCU updated now then change the speaker/ amp at a later date (sunny weekend job) or will the CCU update stop the mid-line system from working I also have integrated telephone and don't won't this to stop.

I don't think so.

If you fit the Surround amp without changing the CCF then there is no sound, so i'd expect it to be the same the other way too; changing the CCF but not the amp.

It's different with the later Meridian cars, they do make sound even with the "wrong" amp fitted. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Jaap - yes you need to remove A pillars to expose screw fixing dash speaker covers. The tab that says Airbag flips out on a hinge to expose a single torx screw. Remove this screw and cover will come away (remember these are airbags so best not to have ignition on Thumbs Up ) You will then see screw behind cover for speaker cover. Connector is clipped into dash as per centre speaker, don't forget to pick up some screws and clips along with new speakers for fitting.

Hiya, I was wondering what is the size of the torx ? I reckon all my drivers were philips... >.< Freelander 2 XS MY 2012, 19" rims, Barolo Black. Privacy glass, spoiler.

Where could I get the IID TOOL BT BLUETOOTH box? Anyone selling theirs? They are VIN locked, could I buy another license with them if I could find a 2nd hand one?
