Sub frame alignment

Hi all, does anyone (Alex Bow down ) have any details/drawings of how to check or re-align the front sub frame or H frame? I have had a slight vibration at 1700 rpm since my clutch was replaced.

I have read on forum that this could be sub frame alignment or drivers side half shaft not being replaced correctly.

I would like to have some knowledge on this before I "discuss" issue with garage that changed the clutch.

You have below the info, but I don't think that's because of the subframe....

Alex, thanks again for the info. Where would we be without you. I am just trying to eliminate causes. One member on forum had the same problem.

It was resolved when dealer admitted they had forgotten to align after replacing clutch. Checked alignment and vibration went away.

Apparently the sub frame alignment is important as it aligns the drivers side drive shaft to the transfer box.

Do you have any ideas on what else it might be?

Think someone's been fed a line by dealer who told them sub frame needed aligned. There's 4 bolts holding front sub frame in, not much play once located. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Maybe, but if you look at page 2 of the removal and refitting guide Akex kindly sent, there are two alignment jigs which are required to be used when refitting sub frame.

I've spoken to my garage today who confirmed they have a complete set of such jigs for Ford's (which is what we drive really) as it is a known problem. Getting them to check it tomorrow.

May make a difference.
