Press Brake to Start Error

I have been away for a few days and the dog likes to sit in his open cage in the boot to watch the world go by.

The boot was open for a few hours, doors locked and when i came to start the car the following day, the brake pedal felt stiff, as if it had been pumped a few times.

The car gave the message to press brake to start, but i was and had to stamp on it before it got the message and started

The low battery message then appeared on the satnav screen, so is this a error of the low battery, due to boot been open and dashcam working away or a brake pressure dodgy brake switch

not happened since Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

I'd say you are on the right track with the low battery theory - low power really does do strange things to JLR ECUs and often the only symptom is a series of weird inexplicable error messages - used to happen loads on the Jaguars No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

"Fiat Lux" a philosophy not a car

One thing that caught me out with the low battery warning was that, it was referring to the key fob battery not the car battery. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green
