On the phone as well I think as we found he had Bluetoothed to cars system . Saved us running it in with all those miles on the clock Joking apart Merc were as it had a recall on the air bag, just a matter of a bolt going into your throat and killing you. Not done on pre delivery and was known about by Merc and DVLA (Worldwide problem and on many makes). Hundreds of new cars running around like it in UK and no one calling them in and still something to ask about if buying certain Mercs or other cars that are around 2 years old now. Mercs are definitely NOT what they used to be back in the good old days although they do seem to have got over the recent bodywork maladies of the late 90's / early noughties. Far too complicated and too many things go wrong - OK if it's under warranty I suppose!

Our SLK 200 auto is doing fine but its only moving 5K a year and using Winter tyres in the colder weather. Air scarf and heated seats a boon as for the rest of the options not really needed in my opinion. Tip - Took my own very good oil for the first service to keep costs down. Land Rover deem up to 150 miles is acceptable delivery mileage on a new car! But then again, so do Vauxhall, Audi and VW. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |
