Rigid boot liner ??

Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of advice please?
My pension wont stretch to a OE rigid boot liner, Has anyone bought a non oe in rigid plastic that fits well and does the job for a Freelander2 2008 model?? Looked at the normal outlets on the bay and TBH im not overly convinced by the feedback of some.

Can anyone help please ??
Thank you in advance Smile Smile

I had one of these for 4 years. Great protection for the boot floor.

Hi, I pick up my FL2 next week and first thing I want is a molded boot liner, the one in your link is still available, any comment now you have had it a while?
Appreciate any input on which ones fit well, I have seen some now with carpet inserts supplied, I don't mind paying a bit more for a decent one but OEM ones seem a bit expensive.

I received the same yesterday for my car from the same supplier.

The fit/shape is just fine and its deep enough even the nastiest of spillages. Its not super thick in construction, but I think its certainly adequate for around £17 delivered!

If you have a dog, I might say it could be too light/slippery on the carpet underneath, but the fit is good enough to minimise movement. I dont have a dog, so not concerned.

Why pay any more for something that's going to get abused? - its fine.

Thanks for your feedback it's good to have some input, I may go for that one.
So many things a a complete gamble either they are great value or could be total rubbish, but it's hard to judge from the adds.
I also spotted this one and wondered if anyone had used it;

Well I bought the eBay liner, it fits fine and should contain any accidental shopping spills or dog hairs etc, at this cost no need to worry too much if it gets damaged you could just replace it.

2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Ipanema Sand

Hi Raywin,

I need a boot liner and was thinking of buying the flat genuine LR rubber one but it is expensive @ £90 odd quid new plus delivery

I don't like the idea of a hard plastic rigid liner as I have one on a D2 before and when you folded down the rear seats to get something big in, you then needed to remove and store the liner somewhere else because the sides got in the way.

However, the linked products here look like you could just leave them in and load up as they are soft rubber type.

Anyway, there are two links in this thread with different Ebay products...
Can I ask which one you ended up buying and were happy with, the £17 or £34 version linked above?

Hi Gadge
I bought this one. : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371239347360
It is quite soft and fits pretty well it is actually shipped rolled up so storage should be easy with a couple of rubber bands, only arrived yesterday so can't comment on how long it might last but don't see why it should not last with a little bit of consideration, I like the raised edges which mean it would retain anything which was spilled and could be just lifted out and jet washed, I would say good value for money at the price, especially when you look at the price of OEM stuff.

Fourbie's comments above cover this item, I have had one for the past 18 months with no issues.

If you drop the back seats the lip on the mat is low enough not to get in the way.

Just ordered one...looks like it will do the job.

At that price and with free delivery, plus all your recommendations, it's got to be worth a go.

Hope it doesn't smell bad though.... Freelander 2 2012 HSE Auto SD4 Ipanema Sand

a tip - when it arrives unroll it and put a few heavy objects on it to keep it flat and give it a few hours to unlearn being rolled up

Got mine. It doesn't smell at all Thumbs Up

It is pretty thin and light though but OK value for the money.
Fit is fine too.

Verdict : It will do me and looks a whole lot better than the cheap folded light tarp I was using Rolling with laughter Freelander 2 2012 HSE Auto SD4 Ipanema Sand
