Would a dealer be able to do this or is it considered not required by them? |

I am about to get the auto box serviced on my newly acquired FL2 2009 - its at 55k miles and well overdue - and intend using Mackies of Glasgow (a leading transmission engineering company) but I asked about servicing the Haldex and they dont do it. Without going all the way to Bell Engineering is there a company anyone can recommend to undertake this without traveling further than necessary? 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto - Stornoway Grey - Hers (His, really)

I would go to Bell Engineering but its a long way from here and I have no other reason at this moment or even the time to commit to a journey south right now. Hence my other post reference other recommended service people in the Glasgow area. I'll even forgo the beer - have one for me and enjoy! 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto - Stornoway Grey - Hers (His, really)

Hiya guys, I have got the same problem too. I am living in SE London close to Dartford. I was wondering if you have any recommendations on garages which could do the haldex and auto oil change? Cheers! Freelander 2 XS MY 2012, 19" rims, Barolo Black. Privacy glass, spoiler. |

Having now got a reason to go south (family funeral) I thought I would drop by Bell Engineering and get the job done there. Booked in for the service and will try the lunch/beer at the local too 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto - Stornoway Grey - Hers (His, really)

Got Austen (Bell Engineering) to change my Haldex oil and filter. We took our caravan up to Worcestershire for a holiday and made Bell Engineering a destination! Well, you have to go somewhere! At 81k miles I thought it should be done and I was right, the filter was very gunged up. Turned out to be quite a difficult job (mainly because of very seized bolts and joints very difficult to separate) which I am glad I didn't take on, despite being a professional engineer. Austen did a excellent job and knows what he is talking about. Thanks Austen. |

Just got back home from a trip down south and arranged to stop at Bell Engineering on the way back and get the haldex serviced. Austen did a great job and at 56k on the clock it was about time too. The filter and pump body had quite a lot of black gunk and I suspect that ignoring it for another 10-20k would have resulted in failure. A job worth doing. Many thanks Austen
