Steering Wheel Upgrade

Hi all can anyone help? Me and my precious FL2 are racking up the miles (10100 miles in 4 months)and I'm still amazed how great this car is my only two issues were the need for larger wheels which I've sorted and am collecting 18's tomorrow...and the horrible plastic steering wheel, have driven to work in my wife's Clio 1.4 and the wheel felt much nicer in leather and that's on a hoover with wheels, why did LR not ft one!!!

I have seen replacement steering wheels on ebay but at £350 I won't be buying one as too expensive! Does anyone know if a trimmer can retrim the existing wheel or know of anyone selling one from an HSE? Does the Disco3 or RRS wheel fit? Does anyone know if Land Rover will retrofit and how much? Thumbs Up

Any help would be appreciated?

D3 and RRS steering wheels do fit but they are a bigger diameter (400 mm vs 385) and consequentally alter the steering feel. I'm trying to describe it by avoiding use of the words "boat-like" and "ocean-liner" too... Whistle It does make a difference!

+1 for buy an HSE wheel or get yours retrimmed.

i would say a trimmer will be able to leather up the steering wheel, but i doubt it will be as neat as a OEM HSE one as they will be doing it by hand not machine Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
