I had a similar problem. I found that the windows were lowering on their own, often in the middle of the night when the car was parked and there was no chance that anyone was touching/pressing buttons on the fob.

common enough for the door lock motors to fail - I have replaced three on mine.

As above. Likely cause is the drivers door lock is . Oh, and if you continue to push the unlock button, the windows will all open as they are supposed to. When they are all open, press and hold the close button and they will all close. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Yes it does sound like more of a lock issue than what I experienced. Don't go rushing into key fob replacement as its not cheap, especially if it doesn't work for you. |

Fob batteries, although soldered to the PCB, can be replaced, just google it.
