My quest for a freelander 2

After lots of help on my last search I decided not proceed with the ex farm?? 2012 freelander due to the garage having less than favourable reviews/comments/answers

So my quest continues....

I've got a strict criteria ,
I have around 10k on finance to use, needs to be a dealer whom part ex has I have negative equity on my meriva.
90 percent has to be auto ( maybe if deal was right we would go manual)
Has to be 4wd version.
I would like a few luxuries, cruise control, reverse sensors.(due most recent car having it)
So no S Spec(if i can afford to)

Looked at two today managed to test drive a manual td4e 2010 S trim.
It was a nice drive engine was making a funny sound from the front please see video attached to link. Don't think it sounds normal.
This test drive was more for my wife to be converted back to a manual if we have too.
She was very happy.
Notes to self, door lock cover missing, left wing mirror horrid, and some sort of marks on rubber insills next to window.
Also tyres not great , and this wining sound whilst engine was on.

Also saw another for sale HST but not ready as dealer only received yesterday, needs a valet and a trim putting back on etc but looks very nice inside priced at over my budget at 11k but wonder if I can squeeze him down.
I have first dibs Wednesday he mentioned.
Also looking at a auto near Blackpool on Tuesday I hope.

Please find pics and videos in link attached

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

The noise is definitely not normal-or at least the three I have had didn't make it. Hopefully someone more technical will come along and identify the cause. They are great vehicles so keep looking. I sold my last one two months ago as I needed a petrol. I really miss it! Don't discount the manuals-I've had both a auto and a manual and actually preferred the manual.

I had a look on the internet, and there seems to be plenty of Freelanders around. For your budget, you can even get an HSE with all the extras.Keep looking and you'll find your car,but make sure it's got a full service history.Good luck!
