I have a twin pipe box on the way - also from Turk. He tells me it is for the Si4 and measures 60mm at the inlet pipe (same as TD4) which needs a 60mm parallel sleeve clamp to join. The i6 is a bigger diameter, needing a reducer sleeve joiner.

I've just googled the part number LR041444 and it's the same back box on both the 2ltr and the 3.2.

I am just going by what the ebay vendor said elsewhere on this forum:

"your problem with your clamp is it is for an i6 3.2 which has a larger diameter pipe 63.4 OD hence yours wont do up
when they made the 2 ltr petrol freelander the pipe size became the same as the diesel 59.4 OD
I am the person selling these on ebay partslandrover
ps if you use an i6 exhaust it is a perfect slide fit over the diesel pipe so a normal clamp will do"

He is now offering Si4 boxes which he says are the same 59.4 OD as our TD4.

I will see when it arrives tomorrow. EDIT: The new p/n is: LR052129 for both Si4 & i6

Twin pipe box arrived today. Great condition for a "new other" item. Inlet pipe OD 59.4mm, outlet pipes 55mm.

Dunkley201 could you post some pictures, as thinking of doing the same and what exhaust finishers are you going to use?

Cheers

Hi Grumpy. Not fitting the box yet (away in caravan) so pics will be in slow time. Not yet decided on finishers. Most likely the smaller ones. Maybe also some "turn down" ones, for when towing, to keep smoke off caravan.

Bob

I tow a caravan and don't have any issues with smoke on the van.
