Although I have done it before, I can't for the life of me remember how you switch between on-road and off-road mode on the MY13 (HDD) sat nav system? When I last did this, I gave up pretty quick as I could not find a large compass display - does it have this feature?

From home screen press "Nav" hard key

From Nav press "Nav" key again.


Select "Off road" Nav

Ah yes, that was it. I prodded and poked the screen every which way and totally forgot about the Nav hard button underneath. Thanks!

Is the compass available on all models or is it a MY15 / Australia thing?

The compass and altimeter should be available on "off-road mode"
If it doesn't come up then change the screen view - soft key next to "mark" soft key until it appears.
Once you have selected this view it should remain each time you activate "off-road" Nav
