United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Barolo Black
Freelander2 HSE Rear Valance

Hi,
I've been searching for a rear valance / skirt as fitted to the HSE and HST. Nobody seems to sell them. I've had an ebay search in place for 8 months now, not a single hit until one popped up in the US for sale.

https://www.partsvilleauto.com/product/rar...lance-oem/

I've removed the damaged one but the missus wants it replaced :/

Are these available anywhere? Anyone have one for sale?

Thanks
Mike

The HSE has a standard bumper profile & what is called the "bumper cover" comes off in one piece. What you have identified is an add on to (presumably) make the HST profile. Not standard on your vehicle if it is an HSE.

Right, thanks Bob.

The vehicle has what I'd call a 'footballer kit'. The valance screws onto the standard bumper cover on the lower edge and is bonded along it's top edge. I had assumed it was standard trim for the HSE so thanks for that.

I'll put some pics up tomorrow.

Thanks

Right, so this is what I have removed. It's a Land Rover part, is this off a face lift HST?

There was only ever 2 bodykits made for the Freelander. One for the early vehicle and one for the later vehicle. The only difference between the two was the different styling on the front bumper. As the rear bumper has never changed shape any rear bodykit skirt will fit it without an issue. The part bumper for the rear skirt that you require is LR002788.

How bad is your damage you may find it cheaper to repair and respray your bodykit rather that buy and brand new one and have it resprayed. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Thanks for the info. It will take some creative fibreglass to repair, there is a chunk missing off the nearside. Might have a go.
Cheers

Your photo looks like a standard rear bumper for an 07/08 car. (with black skirt and sills) They come as one piece but that lower skirt which has broken off is bonded on before assembly. I suggest you look for a replacement on the bay of fleas. It will likely need respraying but it's the most economical way to get a good looking job. Bumper change is an easy job for one person/an hour or so if you have not done it before.
