Convince me to buy a Td4 HSE

Hey guys,

Have been lurking around here for a little while and decided to join. Unfortunately my first post is a predictable one.
i need your help hehe
I'm looking at buying a td4 HSE w/tech pack and sunroof, it has done about 4000kms, so they call it ex demo model.
They have settled on 66k drive away and won't budge on that, do you guys think this is a good deal, or should i try and work a free service angle into the negotiations. As my main concern is cost of servicing and reliability.
oh and its plated 02/08
thanks for anyhelp offered

Cheers

Welcome aboard Thumbs Up I am sure you will be very satisfied with the HSE as it has all/most of the extras the other models need. The sunroof gets a little getting used to if you have had a sunroof on other vehicles as it functions differently. I have been very satisfied with my HSE the year and 15000kms I have owned it and have had no issues with it so far - it is the best drive I have owned. So, I guess it all depends on the price of course, which I am sure one of the other Aussie members can help you with Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Depends what you want out of the car. Why were you first interested in it? Does a HSE FL2 solve any problems for you?

well ive just gone over 70000kms in my Subaru in 2 and a bit years, and wanted to upgrade to a nicer/comfortable car.
Love the style of it, and the size of the FL2. My thoughts are that although my suuby hasnt cost me any money yet, i think i'm about to run in to some problems with it??
Am i crazy to upgrade to a new car after 2.5 years??

Congrats Dorko.... Thumbs Up

I have had my Freelander 2 for 1 week and absolutely love it.

As long as you are happy to pay for the car at that price - then why not?

4000 klms is nothing. And you have a Tech pack and sunroof. Pretty good value as the tech pack is worth close to $8,000.

Very Happy

2.5. years for selling your suuby - nothing mate. I sold my BMW after 4 months... Laughing

I too came from a Subie into the Freeo, You won't be dissapointed.

However I have always been a Land Rover owner so it was bound to happen.

Depends if you want to take it off the tarmac. If you do they reduce ground clearance which is no good. If you aren't planning on taking it off the black stuff then that's a shame.

Thanks for your help guys, just purchased a TD4 HSE in Stornaway Grey.
In the end i went with tech pack, sunroof and premium pack, as they came down in price alot more than i thought they would.

And best of all, i will get it on Thursday, can't wait.

Cheers
