[SOLD] 2008 Freelander 2, 2.2 td4 HSE Auto

Reluctantly selling my Fl2 after 4.5 years of trouble free ownership, due to buying a defender which is more suited to my current needs (restoring an old cottage).

Having covered only 44,900 miles ( will increase slightly as still in use), it has a FSH with main dealer, independent and services by myself - receipts to prove. It has an mot for six months. All tyres are good and should do at least another 3,000 miles.

In totally excellent condition throughout, I have maintained and looked after it meticulously as can be seen in the photos. The only thing that is 'bad' is the usual drivers seat side squab has split. This is common and can easily be repaired or replaced.

I have been offered a cash buy, by my local independent dealer, who knows me and my vehicles and how well looked after they are. He also told me what he would retail it for. On that basis I am offering it for sale at £12,500 or near offer.

It is an automatic and has a factory fit tow bar and twin electrics, and all the usual HSE specifications, inc sat nav, Bluetooth, 6 slot CD player etc.

The car can be viewed in Rutland or possibly in Kempston, Bedford.

It has two sets of keys, and all documentation.

Please pm me for any other info required.

Hey guys n gals

Am I asking too much? This price was based on condition and mileage.

Can someone advise on the best price?

Thanks

Jon

WBAC value it at £11,000 and they generally take the Censored with prices so £12,500 ono is not too far out but with our 'winter' behind us there's generally less interest in 4X4's. Nice looking car with low mileage. GLWTS. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

It depends how long you can wait to sell it. At the price you are asking it will probably take a while. I have just sold a 07 HSE, 38000 miles manual for £10000 privately in 3 days. Trade in price was roughly £10000-10600. I wanted to buy with cash at distance so sold it on ebay for low trade. It needed a service but nothing else. The autos are more popular than the manuals but I would say you are not far off independent forecourt price at the moment. Do a quick search on ebay/autotrader for your year and spec. Take £1500-2000 off the trade price and that gives you an indication of what the trade will give you for cash. If you want to sell quickly, I would drop the price or trade it in against whatever you are buying. Alternatively hang on in there-you only need one keen buyer to sell it.

Based on the previous reply, I am happy to consider offers (as indicated by the Ono price).
Thanks

Have you advertised it elsewhere? (Apologies if you've already answered this question).

The nature of this forum is that (generally speaking) most of us already have a FL2 (or one on the way), and so aren't looking for complete cars. We're generally looking for accessories and parts from previous owners who have chopped in their FL2 and are looking to offload accessories.......

Obviously there are always exceptions the rule, but you'll get more hits on Autotrader, eBay etc etc......

Now sold. Thanks for all the comments and support. Sold to a local lady via word of mouth. As an indication of values, I got £10,800 for it. I think they got a bargain but that is market force for you?!!

I will make a site donation for allowing the advert - thanks Martin

Regards
Jon
