So after some advice if possible. Two weeks ago light came on my FL2 (2011 63k) then the reduced engine performance notice came up. Went to a local indie who ran it through the diagnostics machine this code came up after resetting it he said he couldn't find anything wrong with the DPF. Next day light came back on. I went back he stripped exhaust and had a look to see if they were clear and they were. Reset it again.... Guess what? Yep it came on again, he thinks it's a common fault with this model with the software.

I am loathed to take to a dealer after being charged £700 for a service and break pads just before Xmas last year, so does anyone know a good specialist around Portsmouth/gosport area?

I am not a mechanic so can't go stripping it down myself....times like this I wish I were!

I'm a buddy(ess) - had Mazda 3 sports mainly beforehand with a M reg Audi a80 for interesting times, oh and a corsa V reg 1.4 sport... Just to see if can go round corners on two wheels... It can.

Any more advice is always welcome, I've heard it can be the warm weather, fuel filter, software or bloody turbo... The last I don't want thanks!

I won't go back to normal car now I've lived the dream... So hoping it will get sorted easy...

Guys at Keith Gotts sorted out my issue. Split pipe which was affecting the DPF sensor. £280 later all fixed and car still going good. They gave me a disco 3 whilst mine was being fixed, great fun!

Thanks Dan for the recommendation, the guys at Keith's were friendly and very helpful, and Biggles the cat was on form.

Would definitely recommend them, nothing was a problem, even when the diagnostics suggested five pages of potential issues to go through!

Alex if you have time what are your thoughts on P0405 EGR sensor A circuit low ?

Changed the MAP sensor and when it warms up error is back and onto reduced power. Turbo lever is free moving and diesel and air filter are new. Able to rev freely fro mcold but the fault seems to be heat related, turbo pipes are not leaking but could collapse a bit I guess when hot.

Useful thread if we all listed our faults when read we could build up a good detailed problem solving thread, I have yet to get my FL2 on the Hawkeye, my T4 will not read it as no disc available as of yet.

I have a B100A-15 Fuel Pump Authorisation Circuit Short To Power Or Open.

I have done a search, it's mentioned in a few places but I can't find a definitive fix. I have tried clearing the DTC but it comes back at me.

Is it the Low Pressure pump in the tank or the High Pressure pump on the engine. Or something inbetween. I have had the motor for a couple of months. It's A MY 2011 SD4 HSE

The car is running fine with no warning lights but the code reader brought this DTC up on a routine check

I too have this DTC in spite of checking all over the web I can't find an answer. The car has no fault lights showing. The Fuel system works just as it should. No problems anywhere AFAIK


Yesterday It had an local Indy check it over. They said they couldn't find any obvious fault. The tech said they could have it in for 2 or 3 days strip the Fuel System down and still may not find anything. He suggested I live with it and await any further
problems.

B100A-15Fuel Pump Authorisation - circuit short to power or open
Fuel pump authorisation circuit - short to power, open circuit
Refer to electrical circuit diagrams and check fuel pump authorisation circuit for short to power, open circuit

I am going to take a flyer on this as me and electrics really do not get on. If the circuit is closed a pump does not operate until on demand (switch/circuit then open), so does it mean when your getting a open circuit permanently and pump is on constantly ?

Can you hear a low level fuel pump noise (possibly at rear) most of the time engine running or not ?

Over to the Auto electricians of how to cure or really explain better.

I am having trouble getting my code reader to connect successfully to my Freelander. I plug it into the socket, switch on the ignition but it does not detect the car. When I start the car I am able get the live data but not the codes, what am I doing wrong?
