United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Fuji White
Ok.........I miss it!

Been without my Freelander 2 for a couple of months now. Came towards the end of the PCP and the warranty so decided to get an Audi A6 Avant. One of the reasons for moving away from the LR was I unexpectedly gained an 03 Disco 2 and I didn't really want the expense of 2 Land Rovers!! Use a mix of the Disco 2 and the Audi for work but if I'm further afield it's just the Audi.

After an expensive mot in Jan and driving the Audi it's made me realise what an old tank the Disco is!! I also know that I could comfortably spend £2k on it tomorrow to address various issues. This got me thinking that I should perhaps swap it and have a different weekend/occasional use car. I love the LR thing and really rated my Freelander 2 (not without a few issues)

I reckon I could get £2-2.5k for the Disco and could put a bit towards it so spend around £10K. For that money I'm only ever going to get a high miler. I like the idea of a HSE but would be looking at a 57 or an 08 with around 90,000 miles on it. I've also seen a few GS with similar miles but are 11-12 plates.

Would you go for the newer one with a basic spec or older better spec? I'd probably only go for small dealers rather than private as I possibly have some come back. I'd only look for full LR history and kind of hope that at that age and mileage a lot of issues might be ironed out??

What do you reckon??

Dan
