I am having some parts painted before fitting to my FL2, however I would like to know which version of black it is. The log book just says black, no real help there. Nothing in the service book or owners info tells me.

Have a look in an art shop at the oil paints to give you an idea of just the basic shades of black. these are being sold to artists whos base instinct is too mix colours. I am sure the felt tip faries could come up with an infinate number of shades of any colour from the nauseating to the stunning. Baltic Blue Rules! still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |

There is also a VIN plate under the bonnet on the strut above the radiator grille that gives the exact specificuation code, the colour and the paint code. This is the one from my RRS

At that manufacture date its either Narvik solid black or Sumatra metallic. both very good attempts by LR until both where surpassed by the prefect black - Santorini At work
