Algarve

I am thinking about booking a holiday this summer in the Algarve.
I wondered if anybody has been and if so can you recommend a town or resort?
Also what is there to do there?

I hear it's a bit more upmarket than Spain and also well away from the migrant crisis and terrorism.
I went to Northern Portugal some years ago which was nice but I hear the Algarve is better.

Great place either hotel or self catering villas. Small undeveloped beaches nearby. Small town close. bars restaurants etc.
Logos is nice. Boat trips are nice.

We stay in a village near Tavira, really nice and quiet but theres plenty to do, especially in and around Tavira!

We also stayed in Tavira about 4 years ago, lovely and relaxing. We went in September so was fairly quiet, boat ride out to the beaches which can get busy. Definitely return there . Food and drink cheap too!
