It would make me smile if they opened that damn Thornton bridge  FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Jacks arrived to lift bridge last week, they have cut out all the mounting bolts and fitted new braces/jacking points out of some steel that looks suitable for a challenger tank.
They need to lift it then fit some ptfe sliders/bearings. . then raise the access ramp roads each side as bridge will be 6inch higher. hopefully the raised road will cover the worst flood area if the council find the extra funds.

I talk to the site foreman sometimes while walking kids across bridge for school run, luckily a group of friends have a rota to collect them on the school side each day.

the bridge will be shut for the full 6 weeks , but hopefully no longer At work

im sure there a plenty of fl2 caravan incidents, just not on film, dangerous things At work

Wasn't that long ago that it was closed for a good few weeks.
