Hi,
Is it possible to retro fit the footwell lamps on a GS, as they are not standard on my model. Also where in the footwell do the bulbs go?

Also it it possible to retro fit puddle lamps (bottom of door)?

Cheers.

Footwear lights could well be there, just add bulbs.

Puddle lamps very unlikely to be there.

Re: Footwell Lamp

I've just fitted a footwell bulb to my 14 plate SE Tech. Only one mind as I couldn't find a second one.

Off side. I'll swap it to the near side tomorrow and see if it works. I could find both bulb holders, but only one bulb in the garage.

I assume on the OS it sits in the (in my case empty) bracket attached to the air vent in the center between the brake and clutch pedals ? If not anyone got more news of a photo please. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

It's behind the air vent.
Next to / between the steering column and clutch pedal.
Not immediately obvious that the bulb socket is there.

you can see my OS bulb by the top of the peddles in the picture.

And the NS without bulb is the grey circle that is in the air vent top left.
.
Edit. Pictures rotated and text changed to fit the picture.

Gav.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

Hi, just found this topic today. I was changing the pollen filter in my 07 GS today. Removed glove box tray to get access and managed to pull what I thought was a connector off of a bracket behind the tray. When I looked it was a bulb holder with bulb. But strangely it only had one cable and one connector fitted. Peeled back the foam arround it and definitely just one cable. No sign of there ever being two Neutral . I assume this would be a footwell lamp in other models. But why fit half a wiring loom and a bulb that could never work. I dont have a footwell lamp on the drivers side.

Any ideas?.

A little tip once you locate them.
Bed in some alu duct tape (or even just foil) to the surround to give extra brightness once the bulb is inserted. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.
