I have given it a good wash since I used the freelander to recover a friends Jetbike from the beach at sandbanks with a low tide.

as you can see....the slipway is some distance away.

Done a couple of bits today.

Completed a mini service before the winter with an oil and filter change and an air filter.

Who put that oil filter there!? Laughing

old air filter looked a little dirty

while i was under the bonnet i decided to clean up the oil gunk under the joint in the air intake.

inside

and after with a proper Jubilee clip.

New battery time today after 2 non starts in 2 weeks. Rolling Eyes

I tried giving the battery a good charge but the Ctek managed to charge the battery in a suspisously short time.

oh well.....not bad considering it was the original. Thumbs Up John

Well, it seems like my time with the Freelander may be up. SWMBO wants a new car!

Not wanting to replace it with a Discovery Sport, and not wanting to go bigger, it looks like a change of Brand Sad .

Looking at it objectively, the car is really my wife's. She likes the lofty driving position but doesn't really need to 4WD for a 10mile round trip to work everyday.

so...plans may be to put here in a new.....dare I say it....Nissan qashqai.... and change my car for a D4 to keep a 4WD on the fleet and something to tow the camper around in.... Thumbs Up John
