Looks a good buy,if your landy ain't stop/start just get details off your fitted battery and fit similar or slightly higher amps but check dimensions and g/tee, I am a great believer in long g/tees, at least in a few years any problems you can get them sorted without hassle,☺ |

Our 2010 TD4e had stopped doing it's stop/start thing again (wasn't overly fussed) but then "low battery" came up on the radio while I was waiting in the car with the engine off. Having read this thread I went on a quick trip to BBL Batteries in Truro to investigate if a 115 battery would fit (height of a 096, length of a 110). Low and behold:

Keep the old one, don't chuck it ! Charge it as a spare with a CTEK or similar charger and it can be left for ages connected and fully charged for when you need it.

Good advice, as they're deep cycle batteries I was going to use it with a 12v inspection lamp as lighting in the wood shed, save fumbling about in the dark... 2010 Td4e with too much warranty work to detail

If you actually bought a new one you have probably replaced a perfectly good battery that was just run down and needed charging. Did you check whether it still had 12v ? I do lots of short journeys and put my bike's Optimate on the Landy about once a month over winter to get it back up to full charge. It quite often takes all day. I had to do the same for a colleague and my next door neighbour too. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |
