LV renewal £306. Gocompare showed LV at £287 so I called & got the same cover for £283, no haggle, no challenge. With hindsight I could probably have hung out for more but they didn't make it hard for me so... ... ... Be true to yourself. That way happiness lies... |

I have noticed that putting your wife on the policy reduces the premium. Also, there was a TV programme last night about car insurance and it pointed out how sensitive the price is to your stated profession. The lady showed the difference between TV Broadcaster and Journalist and it was over £1K. There was even a difference of about £30 between Teacher and Music Teacher (it's higher!) so worth searching the options carefully. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I've insured with LandRover insurance again, who is now underwritten by Allianz. My speeding SP30's are now dead and the cost was £267.00 Overseas cover has been extended for free from 60 days to 90 days whereas previously I had to pay an extra £40 for the privilege. |

I used to be insured with Zurich £1100 they said you get what you pay for, I dont know if they meant youre getting done or what but reduced it down to £200 or so at the time going with RSA they said an insurance second to none, so that might mean youre getting nothing much too, its a bit of a minefield and I guess you never really know how good they are until you see how they perform in a claim situation and you have to crash your car to find that out? |

I only have an ex wife if I was to put her on my policy, however she would probably bump my premium up by about £5k I work in telecoms but the options are always engineer/manager/consultant. im officially an engineer, but office based however there is a difference in prices as an engineer is assumed to be out and about and so more of a risk. As I now work in change management I put my occupation as telecoms manager/consultant. |

I was told my insurance would be higher because I'm an engineer, although I drive a company can during the day an not my van, apparently I'm more likely to be tired when driving my car... |

Been with LV for a few years now and had a 2014 ASX when I renewed last years policy for £330. I just got my renewal through for my recently acquired 2012 HSE and they are quoting £515 ouch! They also have bumped the excess up from £200 to £350!
