Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

There is plenty of life left in the tyres look at the inner tread. The way the photo was taken from above it may appear to be less. I've only covered not even 5,000 miles from new and I have two sets of alloys. So the stock 19s have maybe done 2,500 miles lets say for arguments sake. The repair was £10. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

As stated, the outer diameter is the same. Originally (and maybe still) all the FR2 spare wheels were 17", irrespective of fitted road wheel size. Lots of discussion on here in other threads. Would fail an MoT, but fine as a get-you-home spare. I would take it easy though, as handling could be affected. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

No it isn't, its illegal and an MOT failure. Tyres fitted to the same axle should have the same aspect ratio, the only exception is a properly marked (normally painted red) and speed restricted space saver tyre, which is legal but still won't get you through an MOT.

I stand corrected, although that is I think contradicted in other threads. The original FL2 spare was a black 17" steel wheel, not a space saver, marked with a 50mph speed restriction and with either the standard tyre or, sometimes, one slightly narrower. Thanks for the input. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Not in Australia, distances are too much. My car came with a spare exactly the same, so 5 alloy rims & I bought a 2nd matching alloy rims so I have 2 spares.

Just had too many punctures over the years. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

When you put a spare wheel in the boot is there anything securing the jack in place which I believe locates/lives within the spare wheel? Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Either there is a plastic insert which has cutouts for the jack, brace and wheelnut key, or there is a second screw which goes through a washer welded to the jack and holds jack and brace in place. I have had both. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Update the tyre now has finally been fixed again and is leak free. Turns out the new valve was leaking from the inside of the tyre. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
