As with all this battery driven technology the batteries need to get a lot better first.

I don't have any automatic watches but do wear watches that need to be manually wound. Maybe the phones can have solar collection front & back. I think that would be a cheaper option. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Does that mean that more phones will be stolen in the hope of acquiring a Volvo |

Oh so you have to carry a physical key as well (like the one currently in your key-fob) ? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

Having spent my working life in IT I can just see the headlines now "Apple releases iOS 15.0 and drivers locked out of their Volvos" . Just because something is possible doesn't make it essential. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

A lot less cars around here these days are being stolen & they don't use physical keys. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

There is a story on this forum somewhere from a guy who used to park his FL2 tight up against the inside of his garage and then climb over and get out of the passenger seat and lock the car. Then one day his key fob failed and he discovered that the physical key only operates on the driver's door. I can't remember what was the outcome or how they got the car out (and for some reason he only had one key available). 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
