[For Sale] Door lock

Hi

This is the door lock i removed from my drivers door as sometimes it did not always lock the door, so i changed it with a new one at £111.53 from LR ( i have read that it is possible to strip this unit down and clean the motors inside )

Would need the motors cleaning but might be worth someone wanting to try or have for spares rather than paying for a new one

£50.00 posted or you can collect for £40.00

50 quid is a lot for something thats broken and might not be repairable, I assume it comes without a guarantee? most folk would chuck it in the bin? Why not strip it yourself and repair it and keep it for a spare just in case your new one fails?
Really for what they cost new its hardly worth doing i wouldnt have thought.

Like said if someone wants for parts, which i dont think LR sell for these or for someone thats cleaned one before then it might be worth ago. I dont want to take apart as i have already fitted a new one plus i dont like to fiddle with tiny things, but some people do.

Everything in the lock worked but on the odd event the lock did not move the door catch ( button ) 100% and it needed pushing about 3 mm to lock the door, so from what i have read on posts from this site that seems to be a dirty motor.

The price is not fixed as with everything forsale on this site but as the rules say a price must be put on the advert. Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto
