I've already posted on a similar issue regarding this.......

Within SDD/dealer visit, there is a "Service Function" test for the antanae array on the Freelander 2.
It will test the continuity of all the Arial's and also the attached circuitry which in the case of the FM Array there is 2 ampliers, so this will show up any problems causing your poor reception and interference
I think in your model the Amplifiers are in the tailgate accessed through the interior panel you remove to access the rear upper brake light.

If you problem degraded over the years/time then this is your first step the addressing the issue
My reception both analogue and digital is great so I suggest you get your systems checked Thumbs Up MY15

Does this apply to MY11 too? I changed my battery last year and since then I've never had a stable signal. However my rear washer jet was also leaking - if the amp is up there it could have been damaged. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

I think this applies to up to MY13 so yes.
From MY13 Onwards the FM/AM DAB diversity Arial's are on the rear quarter windows and all amplifiers are in the roof above these windows.
The rear window is solely a demister from that point onwards. MY15

I always had good FM Signal ( Kent, sussex, London, and M4/m5 down west (on pre and post MY13 cars)
DAB was a waste of time until I got my DS, then it actually worked very well.
