First major service. What do i loose if I leave it late?

My first major service is due next month and at around £430 it could not have come at a worse time.
I've just been forced to resign as chairman of Lloyds TSB and my 1.2 million serverance pay .... bla bla..

No - seriously what do I stand to loose if I delay the service 'till the new year?
Does it invalidate my warranty or something?
I will definately do it but maybe a couple of months late. Mileage is currently around 8500 miles.

I wouldn't worry about it---unless you get a major mechanical failure that is a warranty issue then LR may use it as leverage to get out of it.
But if nothing goes wrong then when you sell the vehicle as long as the miles are not wildly above the 15,000 recommended limit, I don't think anyone would notice.

But yes it may invalidate the warranty....... Confused

Now I must come clean and say I don't actually own a Freelander (yet) but why does it need a major service at 8500 miles.......

I'm sure it say to have it serviced 15k miles or once a year for a reason Smile

But if you don't the warranty will become nul and void, its your part of the bargain

maybe james at CHPR could shed some light Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

You will loose your warranty if you don't get it serviced at 15k miles or 12 months, I think you get 1 month leeway after the date. Check in your service manual and it will tell you there. Does the F2 have the service indicator that the D3, RRS and FFRR have - tells you 31 days before the service is due and counts down each day, when you start the car. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Yup and mine was due on 26th October but it was done last week as I won't be here next week, I'll be out in the sunshine of the middle east! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
