Boot no unlocking

Hi, wonder if this problem is common. When I double press the unlock on my remote, all the doors unlock apart from the boot. When I press the boot unlock on the remote it unlocks. Jolly irritating. I wonder if it can be rebooted, as it were.....

Hi, thanks for the jolly quick and good advice! I was standing at the rear of the car this morning with the boot open and, without me doing anything, the central locking made four clicking sounds in a row. Out of curiosity I shut the boot and, whereas before it wouldn't open, it now works as normal. Bizarre. Although when I fired up the engine the boot opened itself so I closed it and drove 120 miles home.......and it seems normal. I'll still get it checked out tho I think.

Definitely get it checked - water in the switch can result in the tailgate unlocking randomly, which could be dangerous. Happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I had the dog in the back (fortunately at low speed on my driveway)! Which is why, until I get around to replacing the switch, I'm running around with the wires to the switch cut and insulated.
