Hi Everyone

I'd appreciate some advice please, I've just fitted a new battery to my FL2 2011, everything is fine except the Stop/Start has refused to work since. The battery was brand new and I made sure it was fully charged before I put it in, and the following day I did a 140 mile journey anyway.,,,no stop start.

Any ideas please, have I missed something obvious, do I need to reset something?

No reprogramming needed on my 2011. As long as you fitted the same type of battery, which has to be an AGM one for start/stop, it should be fine. I understand a reprogramming is needed if you don't put the same battery type in. If your isn't an AGM, its the wrong battery.

I read on here though that it can take a couple of days to "learn" and so may not be activated until that time. Worked first time with my new battery though. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.

Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎

My stop/start is completely random. It doesn't observe any of the criteria needed to operate - ie outside temp, AC demand etc

Sometimes it works sometimes not. I always turn it off when I get in, just wished I could permanently disable - anyone?

My stop start operates extremely well, every time I come to a stop if I dont switch the system off, whatever the temperature and it seems whatever is switched on.
However I cant see it really does the starter a lot of good or the engine and turbo for that matter starting up which could be several hundred times a day which could amount to 70000 starts a year?

Stop/start can be permanently dissabled.
There is a field within the CCF to disable this function  MY15

I guess you can't turn it off yourself very easily for legal reasons as it affects the vehicle emissions and corresponding road tax rates. Having said that, a LR Assist guy told me to just leave the air con on permanently and it should hardly ever operate. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Yep my idea is let it stay like that, who needs all that extra wear and tear. As for leaving the A/C on all the time it will still cut in and out as thats how I run my MY2013.

Most times I jump in my car once its started I turn the darn thing off, can't abide it. If it was a case of just removing a fuse it would be removed.
