Have a look at installing Kodi with 'The Beast' image. Opens the world up to IPTV.

I've not installed it on a firestick but have on an Android TV and its ok. Loads of films although I do feel the quality of IPTV isn't there (yet). It can be a bit tricky to install.

Sorry if this sounds like a daft question but does streaming films use a lot of data like what downloading would using the home broadband

It will use exactly the same. HD films will use a lot more than SD (standard definition) but either way you must make sure you have a large or unlimited data allowance or you will likely suffer. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Ive just scrapped sky , and ordered a humax hard drive freesat box. like sky+ but free with a fair list of channels, the thinking is the amazon stick will make up for a lot of the missing channels even if a few things are to be paid for, better than having a relentless direct debit

Humax freesat going well, hard disc and on demand tv built in, also netfix ready
Changed to BT for internet and they have found 5mb on the line , old provider said 0.9 was max

firestick very good gets used a lot
Found I can download certain prime movies onto the kids tablets for car journeys etc
I bought an EE 4g portable hotspot 19mbs locally but thats surplus now, luckily only on a 1 mth trial contract.

So know Ive got cheaper better internet, no sky subscription, no love film subscription, just amazon prime sub and and non prime movies we might choose.
£££'s in really , but not great if you like sports, but I never had that with sky, I can how ever now access bt sport. At work
