is it a TD4 or an SD4 ? profile says TD4 but the post says SD4. Not sure if it makes a difference to a cambelt change or fuel system |

When you removed the crank pulley, did you remove the trigger wheel found behind it, if yes could you have damaged it or incorectly refited it? |

I was really carefull with it i used a wheel bearing magnectic encoder to check the trigger wheel and its defently not damaged and also picks up nice square waveform and also rpm gauge moves aswell just cant figure why it keeps putting that code up its a permant code aswell .as soon as you clear it comes straight back when you crank it . |

would a faulty fuel gauge on one of these cut the engine out as the fuel light was flashing I put 10 pounds of fuel in it and it shot up to a quarter of a tank which seams a lot for £10 which could possibly be why not a lot of pressure at the rail as its returning to the tank to stop a total fuel run out and manual bleed. ? |

My next check would be the loom/connector to the crank sensor, find the other end which is probably back at the Engine management unit and run a continuity check on the wires, maybe disconnecting it has broken a wire |

I do have a good earth there .a live feed.but havent checked at the ecu but i was persuming it had a signal feed as the ecu is moving the rev gauge and scanner is reading 250 rpm on live data . |

I read many times that SD4 are strictly identical to TD4 excepting the output. 190 HP vs 150 HP. everything else is same. |

Found out today the trigger wheel has only one pick up and not 2 i assumed the other one was for the pilot injection i put it back on the scope and chanel b on the pcv no feed to pcv .it was definitely had two pickups on the wave form put new reluctor ring on cranked her over feed to pcv fired straight up .there was no damage at all to the ring and it was two perfect squares on the abs ring encoder ... |
