Sorry I cannot get the LEDs to show more clearly, I've tried several time with and without the flash.

If any of you creative types like AndyC want to make your own then you can buy a strip of 48 LEDs from this ebay seller in the USA. Personnaly I'd prefer to have somebody else have to repair my light pods if they damage the units putting in the LEDs but I'm sure it would be easy enough for some of the clever guys here who install their own GPS systems.
