Archie. If all you are doing is changing your BB provider you don't need to do anything. IF you are changing your browser ie Chrome to Firefox or whatever, then you will need to transfer your bookmarks from old to new.

My mum has Virgin broadband. She gets unlimited broadband (fast, but not needed by her for just browsing and emails), phone line (no included calls) and Virgin TV which she doesn't watch. She also has a PAYG mobile. She pays between £63 and £75 a month for that lot depending on what phone calls she's made.

I don't understand why people don't just use Freeview and ditch the Sky stuff, in most areas you get 40+ channels of (if you are on a relay transmitter you only get about 20) as opposed to 400 channels of sky At least you don't have to pay for it. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

We "survive" on Freesat & Freeview and have done for at least four years. Don't feel to be one of the great unwashed as we don't have Sky...... Oh, and my BB is with Plusnet & mobile with GiffGaff. Don't think you can get cheaper. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I get my daughter's cast off iphones when she gets a new one every couple of years (I am currently on a 4S) and have a pay as you go SIM with O2. I make VOIP calls using free wifi whenever I can and I get through a £10 topup in about 3 months or more.

I had Sky fitted up in my house in about 1989 for the Bruno / Tyson fight. I think Sky had just come out around then. It was a bit of a novelty at that time and I had half the street round that evening until the very early hours. Have had it a few times since then in our current house but to be honest, I really can't find much to watch on it and I'm fed up of the wife saying ”I told you so" so I haven't had it for at least 15 years apart from when I've borrowed friends logins to watch it on my iPad. There's enough crapola on freeview, our daughters Netflix and our free film channel anyway, let alone having another 400 channels to sift through! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
