Does the freelander 2 have a fuel burning Heater

I was wondering if my Freelander has a fuel burning heater as when the outside temperature is cold ie frosty I notice a Gas Smell.
The smell seams to be very similar to the mains Gas supply if you know what I mean.
I always leave my Air conditioning set to Auto so on heat in the winter cold in the summer as switching it off I notice very little saving in the fuel consumption.

They do have them but in the UK it's an added extra. Not sure about export cars in colder countries. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

he's right, only UK fuel burning heater for fl2 is a towing caravan lit by me.

FBH's are small and arnt exactly blast furnaces, they do warm the car up slightly quicker, but quite often you wonder if it has a actually fired up, it has of course but only smallheat effect

the electric heater in fl2 probably warms the cabin just as fast. At work

Not exactly right, export cars have them for certain country specs, but its never been an option (extra) that you could ask for in the UK Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

My Freelander 1 SE had one but it seemed to be on most of the time except in the height of summer and I never did work out where the thermostat was to fix it. They used to produce smoke from the wheel arch and every winter the forums would have worried new owners asking about where the smoke was coming from. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
