It's really been a bit more of a diary from the start but really shows how I've managed to achieve this goal. It's really not that hard if your willing to look into the technology, simple even.
I really hope this gives others the opportunity to push their boundaries and
Never believe those who say something is impossible.
I'm grateful I've met some great people even friends through this process (You! and Cambo ) whom have been more than willing to help me with very little in return of which I'm very grateful and humbled even.

Final piece of the puzzle in my posession now so I can finish this project.
Delay partly my fault as I ordered the band III coax cable too short initially as I estimated how long they should be. Then after ordering another realised that the correct lengths were in the electrical schematic all along - DOH! Only sharing this piece of information so that anyone else doing something similar won't make the same mistake as me

I was lucky with the L-band coax as I ordered at 2m where as the correct size is 1825mm (highlighted in orange).
Not so lucky with Band III coax which I ordered at 2.4m and in actuality it needed to be 2675mm.
When I did order a 3m length coax the supplier stuffed up the termination plug.
So been waiting on this 3rd cable which I'm happy to say is puuuuurrrrrfect!
So bit more of dismantling soon, just got to wait a cooler day, it's 42 here atm, we are in the middle of a heat wave.
This won't take long so a result is imminent MY15

Words can't describe how happy I'm with this. Sound quality is great and 100% reception.
Just shows your how the impossible is possible!!!!!
My dealer will be eating "humble pie" for quite a while!!!
I'm now officially the only Freelander 2 in Australia to have Factory DAB+ and possibly the only person to retrofit DAB to a 2013+ Meridian System.

So in actual fact the only "difficult" component in this retrofit is the coaxial wiring loom from the DAB module to the antennas.

And now that you've done the hard yards it should be relatively straight forward to get more of those made up if people wanted them?

Have you got a list of the actual parts needed to make the retrofit? Would it be possible to put together a "kit" for the next guy? 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

You will pick up as many as 20 Ensemble broadcasts from SBS and ABC. Your spoilt for choice!!!!

Not only this Cambo is close to you and could have it done in an afternoon
